I believe this show was when I first realized that TV can let you down (15 yo).
For a couple of weeks I was transfixed to it's time slot, then it just stopped and then nothing, NOTHING until some odd train of thought arrived and the internet was a reality. (I didn't really have cable TV around.)

Wow.....I am thrilled to have found your site. I'm even more amazed to read the guest book and see so many stories similar to mine. I have been vaguely trying to describe this show to people for over twenty years....I too have thought to myself, "did I dream this stuff?" I was 7 when it first aired and was blown away by this show. It quickly faded into memory. When I would describe the show, all I had to say was "a family lost in time or another dimension, searching for a way home by following these weird stone markers or obelisks, and that story had something to do with Egypt or the pyramids" I've only watched the first episode since finding this sight and its almost like having a flashback to childhood. Thanks!

I'm so psyched I found this site! I've been holding onto my old vhs tapes, afraid to keep playing them, because I've about worn them out.
This is still one of my all time favorite shows. I keep checking to see if there will be a dvd release...

We used to gather together on Saturday nights in college and watch Other World. I've never forgotten the episodes. Thanks for bringing it back!

Hi there! Thankyou from the bottom of my sci-fi heart....I've been describing this programme (vaguely) to my friends for years to no avail!just remembered what it was called,googled it and here it is,wow.I thought I'd dreamed it up. I think it was shown on channel 4 on Sunday's before (or after) the Waltons, Happy days

I have been trying to remember this show's title for the entire second half of my life(b.1977), and also get a glimmer of recognition of what I was describing to many folks over the years when ever the subject came up, but to no avail. I was starting to think I had dreamt up the visuals from a book I had read way back. Great to see a site documenting the existence of this show. Thanks.
